Or “The Big Scary Unknown”

I’m going for National Blog Posting Month for March and the theme is “in a word.”

I’m starting the month with the biggest scariest word that I can find.  Done.  Not what you’d normally thing, most of the time when I’m done I’m jumping for joy.  Finish a sweater or a lace shawl?  Joy!  But this isn’t done, it’s Done, with the capital.  I am leaving my job of 6 years for parts unknown.  I have my reasons and it’s time to change, but the kibble is going to be a little thin and I’m going to do a “knit from only the stash” project for a while.

I’m taking some time to knit and reflect.  I’m also going back to school part time so I’ll be taking some courses there.  I’m also going to work on my novel and see if I can get one of them to the point where I’d like to submit it to a publisher or agent.

In other news I finished a wonderful pair of stranded mitts for a friends birthday and am on the yoke of my spring cardigan.   I’m taking a rest from Ella Bhan for the moment, I’m not sure that we’re talking the same language and I don’t think I like the way that some of it is going.  We shall see where it goes from here.

About Jadedknitter

I'm an author, a knitwear designer, a painter, and trying to find my love of the kitchen again. I write romance novels (they're candy, for the brain!) and read mostly history. I love to knit in the evenings curled up with my pug and watching whatever documentary strikes my fancy. My designs are born from a desire to knit something that I can see in my minds eye but can't find a pattern for. My current crop of paintings have been Celtic knots, I've drawn them for years now I'm colouring them in. Who knows what I'll end up doing next!
