Day 7 – Needles

Or rather what’s on them.

From left to right: jaywalker socks, fingerless mitts (with thumbs!) and A Pretty Thing (all Rave links) by the Yarn Harlot. I’ve got the thumb on one of the mitts and only a couple of rows left on A Pretty Thing, the socks however might be left for a while.  I’ve got 1 sweater that I’ve got a half sleeve left on that I’m going to have to get off the needles sooner then I thought, I promised the rest of the ball of yarn to a friend to make a caplet.  Presents first then something for me.  And the fact that I found the perfect shawl for that merino that I’ve got in the stash isn’t helping!

Other then the knitting, which is going wonderfully fast now that we’re back to having some time between calls at work, there isn’t a whole lot going on here.  I’ve got a friends son’s first birthday, dance lessons (burlesque!), and my work Christmas party (no I’m not just pulling an older post, our office is so busy over the holidays that we hold our party in January) on Saturday and I’m probably going out on Sunday so not a whole lot of knitting is going to get done then.  Although I’ll probably pick up the socks as I’m going to the movies and jaywalker is something that I can do in the dark.

I’m still trying to get my house sorted out, I have a feeling that this is going to be an on-going battle.  I’d like to say that I’m someone who can just magically keep her house clean, I’m not.  You really don’t want to know what I found today.  Trust me.  I don’t think I’ll find anymore, I looked.

Now to put my poor, abused knee up and read a bit.

About Jadedknitter

I'm an author, a knitwear designer, a painter, and trying to find my love of the kitchen again. I write romance novels (they're candy, for the brain!) and read mostly history. I love to knit in the evenings curled up with my pug and watching whatever documentary strikes my fancy. My designs are born from a desire to knit something that I can see in my minds eye but can't find a pattern for. My current crop of paintings have been Celtic knots, I've drawn them for years now I'm colouring them in. Who knows what I'll end up doing next!
